UK Steel Enterprise (UKSE)
A long-term partnership rooted in community.
Eight years of brand, social, campaigns and website work alongside a social enterprise that has helped regenerate the UK's former steel-making regions.
01 / The challenge
What needed to change.
United Kingdom Steel Enterprise was established over 50 years ago to help regenerate the UK's traditional steel-making areas, investing in local businesses to create long-term jobs in regions disproportionately impacted by the decline of manufacturing. With more than £123 million invested and almost 85,000 jobs created, the impact is enormous, but it is also quietly told. UKSE needed a creative partner who could keep that story consistent and visible across a UK-wide footprint.
02 / The insight
The reframe that opened the door.
Social enterprises live and die by trust. The audiences UKSE matters most to, local entrepreneurs, regional partners, policymakers, needed to recognise UKSE wherever they encountered it, and to feel its message was about them, not about UKSE itself.
03 / The approach
What we made, and how.
We rebuilt the brand from the ground up, then took on the website, the social channels and a 50th anniversary campaign that looked back at significant achievements while pointing forward. The work spans brand identity, ongoing social, content, blog production and campaign creative.
We aim to be a long-term creative partner, not a project supplier. UKSE is what that looks like.
